Sit Kit WordPress Plugin

Youtube Video

In this video, I’m going to show you how easy it is to install Google Analytics on your WordPress website. The first thing you’re going to want to do is install a plugin called SiteKit. So, if you go to your WordPress plugins and click “Add Plugin” and search for SiteKit, you’ll see this right here. All you’re going to do is click “Install” and “Activate.”

Alright, once it’s activated, you’re going to see SiteKit on the left-hand sidebar. You’re going to click it and pretty much follow the instructions. Connect the site, connect Google Analytics as part of your setup, click “Check,” sign in with Google. Now, when you get to this part, when you want to connect your service, you’re going to click the dropdown, come down to click “Set a new account,” and give it a name. I’m going to call it the name of the website, click “Create,” and continue to follow through the workflow. Then you’ll be brought to the Terms of Service for Google Analytics. You will click “I accept,” and go to my dashboard.

Thank you. Over time, this data and dashboard will start to populate. You can also view your analytics straight from Google Analytics itself, so let me show you. Alright, so now when you head over to analytics.google.com, you will see your new project. Not to worry when you see the tagging instructions. All you’re going to do is click “Get tagging instructions,” view tagging instructions, go “Install with website builder or CMS,” that’s what we did. We’ve got the SiteKit plugin, so all we have to do is come down and click “Scan.” The green checkbox will show up, and then you will be all set.

That is all you have to do. It does say here data collection is active for your website, and since it’s been just a couple of minutes and it hasn’t been 48 hours, we just need to sit tight. But not to worry, in two days this will be totally gone.

Alright, thanks. I hope you found this video helpful. Please let me know if you have any questions.
