Setting up Google Analytics for Showit is important for several reasons:

  1. Track Website Traffic: Google Analytics provides detailed information about the number of visitors to your site, where they come from, and their behavior on your site. This helps you understand your audience better.
  2. Measure Marketing Effectiveness: By tracking traffic sources, you can see which marketing efforts are driving traffic to your website, allowing you to focus on the most effective channels.
  3. Monitor User Behavior: Analytics helps you see how users interact with your site, including which pages they visit, how long they stay, and where they drop off. This information can help you optimize your site’s design and content.
  4. Set and Track Goals: You can set up goals in Google Analytics to measure specific actions you want visitors to take, such as filling out a contact form, signing up for a newsletter, or making a purchase.
  5. Improve SEO: By analyzing data such as organic search traffic, you can identify which keywords are driving traffic to your site and optimize your content to improve your search engine rankings.
  6. Understand Audience Demographics: Google Analytics provides demographic data about your visitors, such as age, gender, and interests, helping you tailor your content and marketing strategies to match your audience better.
  7. Identify Opportunities for Improvement: By identifying pages with high bounce rates or low engagement, you can make informed decisions about where to make improvements to enhance user experience.
  8. Track Conversions and ROI: Analytics helps you track conversions and calculate the return on investment (ROI) for your marketing efforts, ensuring that you are getting the most out of your marketing budget.

Overall, integrating Google Analytics with Showit enables you to make data-driven decisions to improve your website’s performance, enhance user experience, and achieve your business goals.

Alright, it’s time to set up our Google Analytics. Here’s what we’re going to do:

  1. Click on “Site Settings.”
  2. Click on “Third Party.”
  3. Then click “Learn More” about Google Analytics.
  4. Click “Get Google Analytics” and then “Get Started Today.”

For this example, I’ll use the name SD Arlington, but you can choose any name you like.

  1. Enter an account name; I recommend using your website name. Then click “Next.”
  2. For the property name, I also recommend using your website name. Click “Next.”

You will then select your industry category. This part doesn’t really matter much; you can choose “Marketing,” “Design,” or “Business,” for example. Click “Next.”

  1. You can select any of the options presented, but you can’t select all of them. Choose the one that suits you best and click “I Accept.”
  2. Enter your website name. Don’t include HTTPS in this field.
  3. Finally, all you need to do is take your measurement ID, go back to Showit, and plug it in.

There you have it! The data will start populating in a little bit of time.
